July 2nd 2019 from 2:00-5:00 PM
River Vale, New Jersey
WORKSHOP IS FULL
This special workshop is the only NY/NJ Training Dr. Buckley will offer this year.
We will cover:
- Hormonal gaps and how to address them
- All about oxytocin: queen of childbearing
- Synthetic oxytocin- friend or foe?
- The real cost of epidurals
- ...and much more!
Big take-aways:
- Maternity-care interventions, including caesareans, epidural analgesia and synthetic oxytocin, can disrupt hormonal physiology and produce hormonal gaps, which can be addressed to improve outcomes for mothers and babies.
- New understandings about synthetic oxytocin suggest that this may have benefits for mothers and babies in some situations.
- Epidural analgesia disrupts critical neuro-hormonal pathways in labour, and may have long-term impacts on biological adaptations to motherhood.

She is mother of four children, all born at home, and is the author of the bestselling book Gentle Birth, Gentle Mothering.
